THE STORY

Where it started.

Sofia Rivera grew up in Hialeah, the daughter of Cuban immigrants who spent seven years saving for a down payment on a two-bedroom house they found confusing from first walkthrough to closing. Her mother still keeps the stack of papers from that transaction, the HUD-1 settlement statement, the inspection report they didn’t fully understand, the original loan disclosure with the rate adjustment buried in footnote 14. “I read all of it when I was 16,” Sofia says. “I understood maybe half of it. That never sat right with me.”

After a decade working in institutional finance at a Brickell hedge fund, where she spent her days running market analysis on commercial real estate portfolios, Sofia got her Florida real estate license in 2014 with a specific mission: demystify the process for people who felt shut out of it. She started with first-time buyers in Hialeah and Coral Gables. She sat at kitchen tables and walked clients through every line of every document. She answered texts at 10pm. She was honest about price reductions when houses sat. Within three years she had built a referral base that carried her into the luxury market, not because she chased it, but because her clients moved up and brought her with them.

Today, ATLAS operates across six Miami neighborhoods and closes over $40M annually in residential volume. Sofia still works with first-time buyers. She still answers her own phone. She launched ATLAS as an independent brand, not a franchise, not a brokerage template, because she wanted full control over how her clients are served. “Every move, masterfully made” isn’t a slogan.
